Edge of Dawn by Lara Adrian

My Rating is 5 out of 5 Stars

Another great hit! Mira is all grown up and it took me a little while to get myself up with this. Even though the characters in this book were part of the Order before it was weird not having the originals be a large part of the storyline. Mira has loved Kellan since they were children. When a he was killed in an explosion she became angry, bitter, and hell-bent on revenge. Her wild behavior has forced Lucan, head of the Order, to pull her out of the field. She is assigned to protective duty of a scientist traveling to the GNC Summit.
When a group of rebels kidnap her target everything turns out to be a lie. Kellan is to only alive but the leader of the rebel group and the ultimate traitor. He has been alive all this time and chose not to come back Mira after he healed from the explosion. He saw his future in Mira's eyes and thought he was protecting her by staying away.
It turns out that Kellan is fighting on the same side as the Order. The mission is to protect the Breed from a weapon that will kill them with ultraviolet light. This invention is in the hands of a group of humans that are secretly planning to use it at the Summit. The problem is the vampires and the scientist that made the weapon possible have no idea.
Kellan and Mira are still hopelessly in love with each other. Using her gift Mira seeks the truth of their future and looses her eye sight. Then she looses Kellan again but hopefully not for long. I loved the book and this series. I can't wait for next one.

Thank you Random House and NetGalley for allowing me to read.
