Bitten By Deceit by Shawntelle Madison

My Rating 4 out of 5 Stars

For a short story this book wasn't bad. I just really enjoy longer books that go into more details to add to the story line. Emma is an alpha werewolf and in trouble. Sheis running from her pack leader and searching for the man/wolf she loves who left the pack years ago. Kyle left the pack after fighting with Liam for pack leader. Emma wouldn't go with him because of her younger sister. Now Liam has lost his mind and is turning the pack into rogues. He has bitten Emma and she can feel herself changing, but she is giving up without a fight. She just needs Kyle to help her save the pack from whatever Liam is doing. There is hurt, selfiousness, and a side of witchcraft in this very short story. I just needed more to my story.

Reluctant Wife by Bronwen Evans

My Rating 4 out of 5 Stars

This is your love long lost but given a second chance. Abby and Dante married young and for all the wrong reasons, not love. This was something Abby could not live with. Dante needed a bride to give him an heir. He told Abby there was not chance of love. Being the rich alpha male that he is, Dante expected Abby to just accept this. The problem is, Abby already loved him. Her heart was broken and there was no changing his mind so she ran. Now 3 years later her grandmother needs a heart operation and she needs the money for it.She must return to her millionaire husband and pray he agrees to help her.
Dante is cold and unforgiving to Abby when she returns. He is determined to make her pay for running from him. He also demands she give him a child immediately. Of course he takes care of her grandmother and slowly starts showing Abby the man she fell in love with. Before long he begins to realize why it was Abby he chose to begin with. Being your typical alpha male it took him a little longer to figure out he loves her to.
The Reluctant Wife is a romantic read that makes you want to pull your hair out every once in awhile.

Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire

My Rating 5 out of 5 Stars

Wow, I mean WOW! Now that is how to give both sides to a story. I did not reread Beautiful Disaster before I read Walking Disaster but this story was so great that I didn't need to. I didn't realize how much Travis loved Abby from her point of view. Hearing about his past made it easier to understand why he was consumed with his feelings for her. It may have been unhealthy at times but Travis was truly in love with Abby and he never doubted she was his one. Now don't get me wrong, there were times I found him to be a complete jerk and wanted Abby to smack him in the head. The problem was that he really didn't know how to love in a complete and healthy way.
I strongly recommend this book! However, it should not be read before BD. I would like more, maybe perhaps a story for Travis's brothers?

Own the Wind: A Chaos Novel

My Rating 4 our of 5 Stars

I love Kristen Ashley books. I also love me some motorcycle men!! This is another hit for Ashley. I have to go back and read the Dream Man series.
Tabby and Shy drove me a little crazy. They were obviously hung up on each other but didn't know how to let the other know. Games were played, assumptions made, bad things said and hearts broken. They lost many years because of this. I'm thinking, "Hey big, bad biker guy! You want the girl then screw the consequences and TAKE her." This is where I was unable to give the fifth star. I needed a little more rough and rowdy. I like my motorcycle clubs more hard core.
When they did return to each other they were amazing together. Finally they realized how made for each other they were. What started as friendship grew into forever. Together they are hot, hot and yum. Tabby doesn't take crap off Shy and he won't allow anyone to give her any. Once he stopped fighting and she loved him back he found what was most important to him. Yes, even more than his club.
I can't wait for the next book in sereis. Thank you publishers and NetGalley for allowing me to read.

Dare to You by Katie McGarry

My Rating 5 out of 5 Stars

Beth was hardcore in Pushing the Limits and now we know why. This girl has lived a life of tragedy and betrayal. Her anger is the only thing keeping her from completely loosing her mind. Beth has been taking care of her mother for several years. Now she does it from her aunt's house because her drugged out mom can't get rid of the loser boyfriend that beats on them both. At least she has her best friend Isaiah and Noah, who islike abrother. This is her family and what keeps her sane. That is until onephone callto go help her mom changes everything in Beth's world. Now she is being forced to live with her Uncle Scott who abondaned her when she was little. He is also forbidding her to have any contact with her previous life.
Ryan is theAll-American BoyNext Door with a dream to play major league baseball. Well that iswhat everyonethinks when they look at him and his "perfect" life. However, Ryan has secrets too. He also has his best friends to keep him going but his family is tearing him up. Ryan and hisfriends have a tendency to get carried away in their dares. And this is what leads him to Beth.
Ryan and Beth began on a dare. They have this undeniable pull to each other which begins to fill the emptiness. Beth doesn't trust Ryan. She is aware of the dare and has been burned by a jock before. Everyone she has ever trusted has let her down, her mother, father, Uncle Scott, and Isaiah. The strange thing is the safe feeling she has when she is around Ryan. This is a feeling she only has ever felt with Isaiah. But the problem is she doesn't plan on staying in this town. She has to rescue her mother from herself and the abusive boyfriend.
I love this book and the series. The characters are real-life struggles. McGarry described it perfect when Ryan was trying to deal with the life Beth was living. He was seeing all the horrible things he heard or read about just by driving down a street and going to a party with her friends. This isn't a story that is built on romance. It is a story about living a hard life and praying that someone will finally love you back. I cannot wait for Isaiah's story.

Lucifer's Daughter by Eve Langlias

My Rating 4 out of 5 Stars
Muriel is the daughter of Satan. She is also half human or maybe something a little more than just human. Dear old dad is a little disappointed in that she is a 23 year old virgin and living a very lowon the evil sidelife. Muriel is holding out for love. Eventhough Satan pops in and gives her strong lectures on how she isn't living up to demonic expectations it is obvious he loves her. Her home is under his spell to prevent any demons from getting to her. She owns a bar that serves the others their alcohol.
Muriel is use to something trying to kill her. Being Satan's daughter makes her a big target. First 3 gorgeous hunks show up in her bar asking a lot of questions. Then the attacks start occuring more often. Is Auric part of the threat or her hero? It doesn't take long for Muriel to fall head-over-heals in love with him and you know what that means. No more self satisfying for her. Now she gets to cash in her V-card. The new problem is someone wants her fathers job and plans on using her to get it.
Lucifer's Daughter is very well-written. It is a fun and hot both. Who knew Satan had such a sense of humor? I plan on reading the rest of the series.

Reverse Cowgirl by Jaden Wilkes

My Rating 5 out of 5 Stars

This is the story of how so much heartache could have been avoided had the couple just shared how they felt.    Danny loved Jake but she knew she had to get out of the small town they lived in.  She wanted to go to school and see the world.  Jake was older and already started living life.  The problem is he didn't even know Danny wanted to leave.

Without a word Danny leaves and breaks Jake's heart.  Determined not to love again he just uses women to meet his needs and moves on.  He ends up marrying Danny's high school enemy.  This was destined to end before it started.  Now Jake is alone again.

Life in the city isn't making Danny as happy as she hoped and planned.  After catching her boyfriend in her bed with someone from their work Danny packs up and heads back to her parents.  Now she has to figure out if Jake was her one true love and meant to be her forever.  Is Jake able to forgive her or will he get revenge by pretending to start over only to break her heart?

The story is romantic, frustrating, suspenseful, and hot.  I cheered for Danny and Jake the who time.  I think their miserable ex's need to hook up.  There is some hot and yummy lovin.
