Kept: A Coveted Novel by Shawntelle Madison

My Rating is 5 out of 5 Stars
Kept picks up where Coveted left off.  Natalya is a werewolf with OCD , anxiety disorder, and an obsession with collection Christmas ornaments.  Due to all of her issues she was thrown out of her pack.  She was just recently accepted back into her family.  One thing positive in her life is her best friend Aggie.  She goes to therapy with other supernaturals who are trying to deal with disorders.  In therapy she has met Nick the wizard and she spends the entire book struggling with her attraction to him.  The problem is her heart will always belong to Thorn who true love.

Kept has a much more in depth story line and plot.  Nat has a purpose in this book and that is really is  to prove to herself and her family that she is stronger.  She takes on the responsibility of fulfilling her father's debt to the werewolf mafia.  With the help of her therapy friends she battles the constant roadblocks to she has to face.  Thorn tries to stay by her side and protect her but since he is engaged to another as part of a pack arrangement Nat knows she must keep her distance.  Her heart can only take so much.

In addition to all of this she is suppose to be preparing for the pack trials.  This is her chance to prove she is worthy to be part of the pack again.  The problem is with everything that keeps happening she hasn't even began to condition for tests.  This girl has the worst case of bad luck ever.  The good news is there is a happy ending in sight.  True love conquers all and with a heart as determined as Nat's there is a way to overcome some of life's challenges.

I hope there is more to the series.  I want to see how much further Nat can go.  I also really want Aggie's story big time.  I want to see her go head to head with her dad and ex.

Thank you to Ballentine Books and Netgally for allowing me to read.

Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines

My Rating is 5 out of 5 Stars

I love this book! I am adding several more stars! This is my favorite Abbi Glines book so far. However, the cliffhanger is killing me. I didn't stop until I finished and that took all night. I loved the characters and the story pulled me in. I am going to go crazy waiting for the next book.

About Last Night by Ruthie Knox

My Rating 5 out of 5 Stars.

This was a learn to love romance for both Cath and Nev.  Cath has had a hard life and has a lot of emotional baggage.  She lives as the "New Cath" with her heart locked away and unwilling to love.  Nev lives the life his family has chosen for him.  He is in the family banking and will continue to move up as long as he does what his mother and brother expect him to do.
Everything changes for them both when they meet.  They have unstoppable desire for each other.  They can't keep their hands or mouths to themselves.  Cath is determined to keep things physical and Nev is determined to break down her emotional barriers.  Their romance continues to unfold and the physical becomes something much more personal.
I love both of these characters and their attraction to each other is HOT!  I rooted for them the entire time.  Their love was undeniable but the story drew you in and made you want more.  I hope Knox follows-up with a sequel.

Thank you to Random House Publishing Group and Netgally for allowing me to read.

Review of Make Her Howl by Michelle Fox

My Rating 4 of 5 Stars.
Chloe is a null, a werewolf that can't change. She is twenty-five and is since she can't change she has to leave town since it is pack land. Nulls can't stay in the pack. As she is preparing to leave she gets a visitor. Jackson is the new alpha in town. He has worked at the bar with Chloe and been with most women there too. After speaking with his mother he believes he can bring Chloe's wolf if she has sex with him. Chloe is furious with his suggestion but wants nothing more than to be a wolf and once she closes her eyes while kissing Jackson she is there. Her wolf wants out just as bad so she gives herself to Jackson. He wants more than this one night though. He knew Chloe was his mate the first time he smelled her and her saying no isn't an option. After some alpha male convincing and the acceptance of her wolf Chloe gives in to her desire for Jackson. She just went from a null to the next pack alpha female.
I don't read a lot of short stories because I feel myself wanting more, however, I was engaged in the story and liked both characters. A good short read.

Review of Release Me by J. Kenner

My Rating 4 of 5 Stars

Damien Stark is a former professional tennis player who has become a tech savy billionaire business man.  He is a dominant who is use to getting what he wants or taking it.  His obsession is Nikki Fairchild who he met years earlier at a beauty pageant.  She is now living and working in Los Angeles and has been brought into Damien's life by her boss.  They are instantly drawn to each other with great desire and need.

Nikki is fighting the attraction and trying to keep her focus on her career.  She has a plan and doesn't intend to let Damien derail her with his intense desire.  However, he makes her an offer she can't refuse that will both benefit her career plan and give them the time and opportunity to explore their relationship.

They both have their issues to overcome and history that causes constant challenges to their relationship, but this is a story of how they share their childhood secrets, learn to trust, and overcome the obstacles.  I loved the story and the characters.  The sex scenes were HOT!  Damien and Nikki are able to be kinky with each other and still keep their scenes very sensual.

Review of Fallen Crest High by Ti Jan

My Rating 5 of 5 Stars

I really liked this book.  It gives you high school drama with a dark twist.  Samantha is a junior and her life has just fallen apart.  Her mother has cheated on her dad and pulled her out of his life all at one time.  They move in with her mom's new boyfriend and he has two sons, Mason and Logan Kade.  They are the hot, rich football stars that play for Fallen Crest Public.  Samantha attends Fallen Crest Acadmey, a private school that her dad coaches for.  The teams are rivals but everyone thinks the Kade brothers should be playing at the private school.  However, the Kade's don't play by anyone elses rules or expectations.  They do things their way.  All the girls want these bad boys and Logan has had most of the girls.  Mason is a little more detached with his actions.  Now Samantha is living with them and doesn't want any of the kids at school to know.  On top of this she finds out her boyfriend of 3 years has been cheating on her with one of her best friends and the other knew the whole time.  This is when she develops the I don't care about anything attitude.  When she hits her limit of baggage for the day she leaves the house and runs for hours to escape it all.  Once Logan and Mason decide she is one of them everything changes.  She has new friends while other start to hate her even more.  The story is up and down and all over the place but keeps you page turning.  I fell for all the characters.  I couldn't wait to see how Sam would deal with her next tragedy, what the boys had planned that start another rumor or how the nasty girls would be put in their place.  On top of all this the sex scenes were really HOT!!  I can't wait for the next book to come out.

Review of Courting Trouble by Maggie Marr

My rating 4 of 5 Stars

Tulsa McGrath has returned home to help her family.  Her sister Savannah and niece Ash are all she has left and their happiness is being threatened by a custody battle with Ash's dad.  Making matters worse is the opposing council, Tulsa's one true love, Cade Montgomery.

Tulsa walked away from Cade 2 decades ago because she was convinced it was the best thing to do for him.  There is to much bad history between the two families and some of that history still hasn't been settled.  Being back has made Tulsa realize she needs answers and decides it is time to seek the truth.  Cade is still as much in love with Tulsa as she.  The problem is all the missing facts from their past are not going to bring them peace or clear their path for the future.

The story was a detailed read.  I was a little frustrated with Savannah's character but the point of the story the hard headed McGrath women.  There were a few grammatical errors.  I enjoyed reading the story.  Thank you to NLA Digital Liaison Platform LLC and Netgalley for allowing me to read.
